Shakira Shares Her Summer Beauty Secrets

If you followed Euro 2012, you know Spain's defender Gerard Piqué got a lot of attention this year (and not just because he helped his team take home the championship). Piqué also happens to be dating Colombian bombshell Shakira, who didn't miss a match this season. We talked to the singer, who is launching her new fragrance Elixir this month, about her summer beauty routine and how she always looks so gorgeous on the sidelines.

Are there any products you can't live without in the summer?
Sunblock. Sunblock. Sunblock. I like BabyGanic because it's all natural, waterproof, gentle and it really stays. And La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 because it's paraben-free.
What's your summer makeup routine?
I'm trying to go au natural with my makeup. I like to use Tarte foundation because it's oil-free and waterproof and doesn't have any of the other bad stuff. I don't put it all over my face—just in certain areas. I also love Origins Pinch Your Cheeks. It's water-based so it doesn't clog your pores and makes you look rosy. And then a little bit of mascara. Sometimes I just curl my eyelashes and don't wear mascara at all.
And how do you care for your blonde hair?
The sun kisses my hair and it gives it a nice color. I don't really put anything on it, but I do condition it right after the beach.
You're in the middle of launching a new fragrance, Elixir. Are you already wearing it this summer?
Yes, it's perfect for all seasons. It's velvety and sensual and sophisticated, but very young. You can wear it during the day or at night. I really feel like I reached perfection with this one.
You recently said it's your most sensual fragrance yet. When do you feel sexiest?
When I'm happy and I'm smiling and I'm at harmony with the world. For me, and for anyone, there's no better makeup than a good smile.

Shakira’s Father Hints She May be Pregnant, Report Says

Amidst pregnancy rumors making their rounds on the Internet, Shakira’s father, William Mebarak, spoke out about his daughter’s bundle of joy, confirming the rumor that superstar singer Shakira and soccer player Gerard Piqué are expecting their first child.
According to the daily La Prensa in Honduras, Mebarak didn’t deny the speculation that his daughter is pregnant.
“Hopefully the news will be made official soon,” Mebarak told La Prensa.
Shakira’s father also elaborated on her relationship with Piqué.
“We are satisfied with the current relationship,” he said. “It is a relationship that is 100 percent happiness, it makes them happy. What makes them happy makes is happy.”
“The happiness of our daughter is reflected in us too and we are very happy,” he continued. “He is a valuable young man.”
The rumors began earlier this month when Mexican entertainment gossip site TV Notas reported that not only is the “Rabiosa” singer allegedly preggers, but also that she and Piqué have already bought a mansion in Barcelona to get settled with their newborn.
The publication added that as of now Shakira is supposedly two months pregnant and that her baby is due by the end of 2012.
To this rumor, the Colombian superstar’s social media manager Xavier Menós said via his Twitter account that Shakira “is pregnant with new songs that are INCREDIBLE!” denying that the singer is expecting.
According to entertainment mag People en Español, Menós also said on his Twitter account that news about Shakira being preggers is “another false rumor” and that she is “is very happy” at the moment with all the new songs she is getting ready to debut.
But, allegations were once again raised by Colombian magazine Gente, which claimed that Shakira is in fact six-months pregnant but is waiting "a prudent amount of time" to tell the world she is expecting.
The publication cites "a highly reliable source" and adding to the rumors spread over the past few weeks by various media outlets.
Shakira’s publicist told news organization Efe that on behalf of Shakira’s team they have no intentions "to make an official announcement in that regard."
Gente claims that Shakira’s baby bump "was all planned" because motherhood is a priority for the 35-year-old artist, who doesn't want to wait much longer to have a child.
TV Notas added that allegedly Shakira is trying to hide her pregnancy because she could be suffering from toxoplasmosis, whose presence during pregnancy can have negative effects on the forming of the fetus.
